The Journal of the History of El Puerto is a biannual publication published by the Menesteo History Association of El Puerto de Santa María.
This historiographical association was established on October 31, 1983, in El Puerto de Santa María (Spain) and is registered in the Provincial Registry of Associations in Cádiz with identification number 1421.
The Journal of the History of El Puerto has been published uninterruptedly since 1988.
The contents of the Journal of the History of El Puerto are covered by the ISOC database within the Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), the Latindex directory and the digital archive DIALNET.

The studies, documents and descriptions of historiographical sources are reviewed
by external evaluators through
a system of reciprocal anonymity.
The Journal of the History of El Puerto is a multi-lingual publication. It admits and publishes manuscripts in any language,
as long as these are accompanied by a Spanish translation for joint publication.
The English translation of the abstracts and keywords of the manuscripts published in The Journal of the History of El Puerto is carried out or revised by Bernardo M. Rodríguez Caparrini, member of G.I.E.H.E.B. at the University of Cádiz.
