The Journal of the History of El Puerto is a biannual scientific publication of local-district scope with a universalist character.

It is published by the "Menesteo" History Association of El Puerto de Santa María, a historiographical association established in 1983.

The Journal of the History of El Puerto has been published uninterruptedly since 1988, has an international Board of advisors and is:

All the published studies are original, the result of research, and are reviewed by external evaluators through a system of reciprocal anonymity.

The Journal of the History of El Puerto is a multi-lingual publication. It admits manuscripts in any language, as long as these are accompanied by a Spanish translation for joint publication.

The English version of this Web page and the translations of the abstracts and keywords of the manuscripts published in The Journal of the History of El Puerto are carried out or revised by Bernardo M. Rodríguez Caparrini, member of G.I.E.H.E.B. at the University of Cádiz.
